Mushfiq joins Shakib at Karachi: PSL

Bangladesh wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was picked by Karachi Kings during the last day of the draft pick of Pakistan Super League (PSL) today.

Mushfiqur Rahim was selected in the Silver category for the fixed price of 25,000 US Dollars by the Karachi franchise. He becomes the fourth Bangladeshi cricketer to be picked in PSL after Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Tamim Iqbal.

Karachi Kings have managed to rope in fantastic T20 specialists and utility players, and the side boasts of Shoaib Malik, Ravi Bopara, Lendl Simmons, Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Amir besides the dynamic duo of Shakib-Mushfiq.

Earlier, Bangladeshi pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman was taken by Lahore Qalandars for the first edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). Explosive opener Tamim Iqbal will also be seen in action during PSL at UAE, and he will don the colours of Peshwar Zalmi.

The draft on Monday saw Shahid Afridi (Peshawar Zalmi), Shoaib Malik (Karachi), Shane Watson (Islamabad United), Kevin Pietersen (Quetta Gladiators) and Chris Gayle (Lahore Qalandars) all bagged by their respective teams in the first round as Platinum players.

Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar and Shahriar Nafees, who were also in the Gold category, remained unsold on the first day while Mahmudullah Riyad, Anamul Haque, Mominul Haque and Imrul Kayes who were placed in the Silver category, will know their fate today.
