SA invitation XI win by 6 wickets

South Africa invitation XI win by six wickets against Bangladesh with 3.5 overs to spare.

A fantastic 147-run partnership between batsman Aiden Markram and Breetzke saw South Africa invitation coast towards the target set by Bangladesh. Markram was in fantastic touch as he notched up a 68-ball 82 before he was removed by Nasir Hossain.

Breetzke followed soon after when he was bowled by skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza but not before he scored 71 valuable runs. AB de Villiers scored a 50-ball 43 before he fell to Mahmudullah. South Africa were however 253 for 4 at that point and they reached their target easily.

Batsman Aiden Markram and Matthew Breetzke are out in the middle for South Africa invitation XI. Both openers start well having struck a boundary inside the first two overs.

SA invitation XI are 12 for nos loss after two overs.

The Tigers are all out against South Africa invitation XI off 48.1 overs.

48.1, Ban 255 all out - Mustafizur Rahman is bowled in the 49th over and Bangladesh leave 11 balls unused on a belter of a wicket as they are all out for 255

Mashrafe hit a big one over straight mid off in the 48 th over to take the score to 253 for 8, but holed out to deep midwicket.

Bangladesh are 208/6 after 40 overs. Sabbir Rahman reaches his 50 from 51 balls. He struck a massive six on the 41st over before running two on the next ball to bring up his 50. Three Sixes and two fours for Sabbir in this innings.

36.2, Ban 196/6 - Shakib manages a top edge, trying to hit a six over the bowler's head. He is holed out at mid-on as Bangladesh lose their sixth wicket.

Bangladesh lose another wicket as Mahumudullah falls prey to Mulder. Mahmudullah Riyad was stuck on the back foot as he got beaten by an inswinger and got out leg-before.

Shakib and Mahmudullah bring ip their 50 partnership in just 53 deliveries. Shakib Al Hasan struck two fours off Duminy in the 24th over as Bangladesh are 119/4.

Shakib Al Hasan takes a single in the 21st over to see Bangladesh reach 100 for the loss of four wickets.

Bangladesh are 98/4 after 20 overs. Shakib is on 19 and Mahmudullah is on 14.

Shakib Al Hasan, who has struck two fours was joined by Mahmudullah at the crease. After Shakib scored two back-to-back boundaries off the 16th over, Mahmudullah gets in on the act and strikes a six in the 17th. 

Reminder that this is a 12 a side match and Rubel Hossain will be allowed to bowl.

14.5, Ban 63/4 - Mushfiqur Rahim was looking good but he is gone as well. Mushfiqur pulled one airily straight to deep midwicketand got out for 22 off 29 balls.

13.4, Ban 61/3 - Liton Das pokes at one outside off stump in the 14th over and edges to the wicketkeeper to be out for eight.

Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim are out in the middle for Bangladesh. Mushfiqur has already struck three boundaries as he reached 18 from 18 deliveries in quick time.

Bangladesh are 40 for two after 10 overs having lost openers Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes off consecutive deliveries.

Soumya was dropped off Frylinck on one, at slip early on in his innings but he failed to capitalize on the opportunity and fell for just three runs after facing 13 deliveries.

Imrul Kayes started his innings in brisk fashion as he kept going after the bowling and sliced a four and a pulled a short delivery to the boundary within the first four overs.

He struck six boundaries in his 27 runs. Soumya got out for three in the eighth over, top-edging a pull from outside off stump to mid on off Frylinck.

Off the next ball Frylinck bowled outside the off stump and had Imrul wafting away from his body and was caught by the keeper for a 31-ball 27.  Ban were 31 for two.

Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa invitation XI at Bloemfontein.

Bangladesh’s star batsman Tamim iqbal is out of the tour match against South Africa Invitation XI.

The Southpaw was expected to play the one-day tour match as he was making steady recovery from a thigh muscle injury.

A 12-member team will be participating in the tour match for the Tigers as they prepare for the upcoming ODI series against South Africa starting from October 15.

Bangladesh opener Soumya Sarkar and Imrul Kayes are out in the middle. Imrul Kayes has raced to 17 off 15 deliveries while Soumya Sarkar is on one as Bangladesh are 18/0 after three overs.
