Retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt touched down at the Gold Coast airport in Brisbane Tuesday night, telling waiting media he was looking forward to hitting the beach. This is the first time the multiple world record holder is attending an international athletics event in which he is not competing. "I'm excited just to watch and to cheer on and to get just a chance to see it from a different angle," he said. The event Bolt made his own, the men's 100m sprint, was on Monday won by South African Akani Simbine who upset Bolt's rival and former teammate Yohan Blake.
