Snapchat's Stock Drops after Rihanna's Denouncement

Snapchat has recently suffered a market value decrease of a whopping $800 million, all due to Rihanna publicly denouncing the app for an ad that they had published earlier. The ad, which features a game called “Would You Rather” that gives the player the option to “either slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown”, fell in bad taste with Rihanna. She felt that this game alludes to the domestic violence case that appeared against Chris Brown when he and Rihanna were dating back in 2009. The accomplished singer called out Snapchat in an Instagram post, saying that Snapchat wasted money in animating “something that would intentionally bring shame to domestic violence victims”, and that the app made a very bad joke about domestic violence in general. Fans apparently resonated with this statement, despite Snapchat's apology to Rihanna regarding the matter. Similarly, Snapchat suffered a tremendous stock drop worth of $1.3 billion after Kylie Jenner announced in Twitter that she doesn't use Snapchat anymore.
