Ever since the event was held on 20 January, 2018, the 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards was the talk of the town all week. Hosted at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai, this prestigious award ceremony had grabbed the attention of Bollywood fans everywhere, and for obvious reasons, as everyone awaited their favorite stars being named the best of the best. Aside from Irrfan Khan and Hindi Medium grabbing the “Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male)” and “Best Film” awards respectively, Vidya Balan made a splash once again by winning the “Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female)” award for the film Tumhari Sulu. This was her sixth Filmfare Award and it certainly proved the caliber of an actor Vidya Balan has established herself to be. As for the “Critics' Awards”, which were given to names different from the main awards this year, were: Newton (Critics' Award for Best Film), Rajkummar Rao for Trapped (Critics' Award for Best Male Actor) and Zaira Wasim for Secret Superstar (Critics' Award for Best Female Actor).
