Kathak dance graces Dhaka!

A Kathak dance programme was held at the Bangladesh National Museum located in the capital's Shahbagh this week. The programme featured Munmun Ahmed, an advocate of this dance form in Bangladesh and the students of the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre. As previously revealed in a press release, the High Commission of India in Dhaka was the organizer of this event.

Munmun Ahmed, a teacher of Kathak dance at the India Gandhi Cultural Centre, has recently conducted a six-month course of Kathak dance at the premises of the High Commission of India. The dance programme preceded a certificate awarding ceremony for the Kathak dance students. The certificates were handed over to the receivers by our Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor and the Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
