ULAB holds Spring Festival

To celebrate the Chinese New Year, University of Liberal Arts Bangaldesh (ULAB) hosted Spring Festival 2018 at their permanent campus in Mohammadpur, Dhaka on February 4, 2018. The program was jointly organised by ULAB, the Confucius Institute of the University of Dhaka, UNESCO and Confucius Institute at North South University. The event was sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka. 

H. E. Sun Yan, Cultural Counselor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangladesh graced the festival as the chief guest. Madam B. Kaldun, Head and Representative of UNESCO, Dhaka Office was present as special guest. Dr. Kazi Anis Ahmed, Vice President of ULAB Board of Trustees delivered the welcome speech. Prof. H.M. Jahirul Haque, VC, ULAB; Prof. Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to ULAB’s Board of Trustees; Xi Jian Gong, Director, Jiangzhon Cultural Bureau, China; and Abu Hena Rasel, Director of Career Services, ULAB were other dignitaries present at the event. 

The festival included lion and dragon dances, tai chi and much more. Many Chinese citizens were also present along with resident students.
