Bagdoom.com organised a Boishakhi Fair at Jatra Biroti along with women entrepreneurs of Krishti on 13th April, in celebration of Bengali New Year. The fair started at 5pm on that day & was open for all. There were five stalls selling handmade products by Krishti entrepreneurs, along with famous merchant brands of Bagdoom.com: Ecstasy, Grameen Uniqlo, The Carnet, Labu Flutes, The Wardrobe, and more. The main attraction of the fair was live music & mouthwatering local foods from different sellers. There were also traditional boishaki mela elements, such as monkey show, parrot astrology, and air gun balloon shooting. The fair was sponsored by Pepsico's Kurkure, and The Daily Star joined along as media partner and Radio Dhol as radio partner.
'Krishti' is a women empowerment project that supports women entrepreneurs to sell their products on a modern platform. Bagdoom.com made its online platform accessible to these women with the support of IDE's subsidiary WEESMS, where selling handmade jute products will be very easy.
Bagdoom expects this initiative will support the business growth & financial stability of women entrepreneurs.
