The death of Mohiuddin Rashed in a cylinder blast in Saudi Arabia brought further tragedy to the family as his mother, who suffered a stroke after receiving the news, is fighting for life at hospital.

Rashed's mother Kulfurer Nesa was admitted to Feni Diabetic Hospital on Wednesday night and shifted to Feni Sadar Hospital yesterday morning.

Six Bangladeshi workers including Mohiuddin Rashed of Feni died in a gas cylinder blast in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday morning. Another sustained serious burn injuries.

Rashed, 35, only son of Kulfurer Nesa and Rafiqul Islam of Elias Member Bari at Uttar Birinchi area of ward No 5 under Feni municipality, was married with Shikha Majumder and they have three kids – Jihan, 9, Safwa, 5, and five-month-old Alif.

Rashed's two elder sisters were earlier married.
