US extends condolences to Bangladeshi peacekeepers

The US Embassy in Dhaka expressed its condolences to the families of the four Bangladeshi UN peacekeepers, who were killed in Mali on Wednesday.

In a post on its Facebook fan page, the US Embassy also wished quick recovery to those injured in the incident. “We stand with the Bangladesh peacekeepers in our efforts to bring peace to conflict around the world. We applaud the courage and determination displayed by the people of Bangladesh in bringing protection to the vulnerable throughout the world and grieve with you for the loss of the young men…,” reads the post.
