A two-day voting for electing the new leadership of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) ended yesterday.
Out of total 6,152 voters, some 4,865 lawyers casted the ballots at the SCBA auditorium in Dhaka.
The result is likely to be announced today, SCBA Superintendent Nimesh Chandra Das said.
Awami League leader and former SCBA president Advocate Yusuf Hossain Humayun, BNP leader and incumbent SCBA President Advocate Zainul Abedin, Advocate Shah MdKhasruzzaman and Advocate Eunus Ali Akond are all contesting for the presidential post.
Meanwhile, Advocate Sheikh MdMorshed, incumbent SCBA secretary and former BNP lawmaker Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Advocate AlhajAbul Bashar are contesting for the post of secretary.
