Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will return home tomorrow after making a stopover in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.
PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the news agency over the phone from Abu Dhabi that the premier reached there yesterday morning by an Etihad Airways flight from Rome concluding her four-day official visit to Italy and Vatican City.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the UAE Mohammad Imran and senior officials received her at the airport.
Hasina departed Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome for Abu Dhabi at 10:00am (local time). Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy Abdus Sobhan Sikder saw her off at the airport.
In Italy, she attended the annual governing council meeting of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) at the invitation of IFAD President Gilbert F Houngbo.
At the invitation of Pope Francis, Hasina also visited the Holy See (Vatican City) and held meetings with the Pope and Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
