Missing Khulna BNP leader found in Cox's Bazar

Law enforcers found Khulna BNP leader Nazrul Islam in Cox's Bazar yesterday 18 days after he had gone missing.

He had been in a house of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver in Tulabagan area of Ramu upazila, said Afruzul Haque Tutul, additional superintendent of police in Cox's Bazar.

Nazrul told them that he had disappeared at will, said Afruzul. He is being interrogated to ascertain the reasons behind it, said the ASP. On March 18, Nazrul, 45, religious affairs secretary of Khulna district unit of BNP and a former UP member, went missing while he was returning home in 18 Mile area by a motorcycle from Mongalkot in Dumuria upazila of Khulna.

On that day, Nazrul's wife filed a general diary (GD) with Khulna Sadar Police Station on her husband's disappearance, specifying no details. The ASP said after interrogation he will be handed over to Khulna Sadar Police Station.

However, police did not say anything about what is the relation between Nazrul and the CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver.
