Consular Corps gets new president

KM Mozibul Hoque, honorary consul general of Yemen, and Shams Mahmud, honorary consul of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, have recently been appointed president and secretary general of Consular Corps in Bangladesh (CCB) respectively.

An 11-memer executive committee has been installed for 2018-19 at CCB's 10th annual general meeting at a hotel in Dhaka recently, says a press release. The CCB also appointed Neaz Ahmed, honorary consul of New Zealand, and Abul Hossain, honorary consul of the Republic of Uganda, as vice presidents.  Md Amiruzzaman, honorary consul of the Republic of Seychelles, became treasurer.

The executive committee members include immediate past president Kazi Shamsul Haque, honorary consul general of Kyrgyz Republic; Mohammed Abdul Awwal, honorary consul of the Philippines in Chittagong, and Kazi Khurram Ahmed, honorary consul of the Republic of The Gambia.

Other members are Mohammed Mohsin, honorary consul of the Republic of Korea in Gazipur, Solaiman Alam Seth, honorary consul of the Republic of South Africa, and Mohammed Taneem Hasan, honorary consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
